Landscapes
"From the lone shieling of the misty Island Mountains divide us, and the waste of seas. Yet still the blood is strong, the heart is Highland and we in dreams behold the Hebrides." (Anon)
These emotional words were recorded around 1829, sung in Gaelic by fishermen of Scot's descent on the St Lawrence River, Canada. The powerful words sum up and capture the feelings and emotions the exiles were going through.
I hope my Photography does justice to the Highlands, Lochs, Castles, Glens and Mountains of the Old World that the St Lawrence Fishermen in the New World could not forget.
